Oxford United in the Community are delighted to announce that Jeremy Faulkner has joined the Charity as Head of Community.

Jeremy has been Chair of Trustees for the past five years and will take responsibility for all of the Charity’s activities with immediate effect following the departure of the previous head, Matt Everett.

Replacing Jeremy as Chair of Trustees is Deputy Chair Jonathan Green. Jonathan has been a trustee for nearly three years, with specific responsibility for the Charity’s governance.

Jeremy said: ”Following on from Matt means I have big shoes to fill, but I’m hugely excited about the prospect of leading the Club’s Official Charity through the next phase in its development.

“Focusing on the good work we already do and accelerating our positive impact across the wider community will be the aim.

“I’m certain that with the great team we already have in place, the continued support of the Club, and maximising collaborations with our wonderful partners across Oxfordshire, Oxford United in the Community will continue to impact and improve the lives of people across our county.”

Oxford United CEO, Tim Williams said: “Of all the things we do as a Football Club, the work delivered across Oxfordshire alongside Oxford United in the Community is among the most important.

“I have worked closely with Jeremy for many years during his time on the Board of Trustees. Jeremy has a real understanding of the communities we serve and a clear passion for the work delivered throughout the county.

“The strongest outcomes are achieved when people come together with a shared purpose. Through the continued collaboration between the Club, the Charity, our partners and local stakeholders, we remain committed to creating a lasting, positive impact for individuals and communities across Oxfordshire.”
