Sibley and Bradney Visit William Fletcher Primary School
The midfielders paid a visit to William Fletcher Primary School in Yarnton to meet the children, inspire them through their own personal journeys and answer questions. Accompanied by United legend James Constable, the session concluded with the players posing for photos with each class before signing autographs.
The visit was coordinated by Oxford United in the Community, the Club’s Official Charity, under the Premier League Primary Stars programme. Founded in 1989, the Charity aims to use the power of the Oxford United badge to inspire happier, healthier and better-connected communities across Oxfordshire.
Premier League Primary Stars is the Premier League’s primary school education programme. Funded by the Premier League, through the Premier League Foundation, the programme uses the appeal of football to help children to be active and develop essential life skills. The programme helps children to learn through the power of football in more than 19,700 primary schools (88%) across England and Wales. There have been over 20m attendances by primary school pupils at club-led sessions since 2017, with Oxford United in the Community being one of 103 professional football club charities across the pyramid currently delivering sessions.
Bradney and Sibley follow Oxford United Women players Shelly Provan and Ellie-Mae Richardson in making an appearance as part of Premier League Primary Stars in recent weeks, with more players set to visit local schools as the season continues.
