Cumming and Eastwood Join Parkinson’s Walking Football
Jamie Cumming and Simon Eastwood met our Parkinson’s Walking Football team last week.
The Oxford United goalkeepers, along with Club legend James Constable, joined in with the session before speaking to participants and posing for a team photo.
Launched in January 2026, Quarry Movers United was formed by local grassroots club Quarry Rovers in partnership with Oxford United in the Community. The new team, which is supported by Parkinson’s UK, aims to bring together people affected by Parkinson’s Disease.
Regular exercise can slow the progression of Parkinson’s Disease, and founder Mark Pritchard, who was diagnosed in 2020, is hoping to grow a community across Oxfordshire.
Oxford United in the Community is supporting the programme by providing a pitch at the Training Centre, and a coach to lead the weekly sessions.
Sessions take place every Thursday from 2-3pm. If you are interested in getting involved, please email [email protected].
