Lankshear and Spencer Surprise Holiday Camp
Will Lankshear and Brodie Spencer paid a visit to our Oxford holiday camp this week.
After training, the Oxford United players made the trip to The Oxford Academy, to meet children at our holiday camp.
Will and Brodie took part in a Q&A, answering questions about their careers so far, before signing autographs and posing for a team photo.
Oxford United in the Community run holiday camp programmes for boys and girls of all abilities from ages 5 to 13 throughout the school holidays, offering courses which help inspire youngsters to improve their health and wellbeing, along with their technical ability of playing football.
Following his visit, Will said: “It’s why we play football, seeing how happy it makes others.
“It’s really important to give back to the community and me and Brodie love it, so hopefully we can do more stuff like this.”

Brodie added: “It’s good to see the excitement in the kid’s faces and I enjoyed answering their questions as well.”
Earlier in the day, Maddison Millington-Stanbury and Ellie-Mae Richardson, of Oxford United Women, visited and spoke to children at our girls holiday camp. The visit concluded with autographs and goalkeeper Maddison taking part in a fierce penalty shootout with the girls.
