The Manor Club returns for the 2025/26 season

The Manor Club returned for the 2025/26 season with an exclusive guest talk from Oxford United CEO Tim Williams
Launched in 2017 by Oxford United in the Community, the Manor Club for Over 50s brings together senior Oxford United supporters to spend an afternoon in the company of a guest speaker.
A bumper crowd attended Cowley Workers Social Club to hear behind-the-scenes stories from Tim Williams, including insights into the stadium development and his time at Inter Milan and Manchester United.
Academy players Aaron Lacey, Jameson Blackmore, Aidan Elliot Wheeler and Jack Lee joined the event and met fans before Tim’s interview.
The social initiative is entering its ninth season of delivery and aims to reduce the risk of older U’s fans developing feelings of loneliness and isolation by creating new connections with likeminded people.
Local supporter Alan Kilham has been attending the Manor Club for 4 years and was pleased to see its return for the new season.
He said: “I think it’s excellent. It brings the community together and it’s an afternoon in the environment of the Club.
“We look forward to it every month and it’s in our diary for the rest of the season.”
Tickets are priced at £7 and all proceeds from the event will support Oxford United in the Community’s work to inspire happier, healthier and better-connected communities.
It was Oxford United CEO Tim Williams’ first appearance at the Manor Club and he expressed his admiration for the programme.
He said: “It was a genuine joy seeing people get together, and listen to people like me talk about football.
“It’s a real eye-opener into how important football and community actually is.”
The programme runs on the first Wednesday of each month, with the next session taking place on Wednesday 1 October with Head of Football Development at Oxford United, Stevie Kinniburgh.
