Oxford United began the Milk Cup trophy tour by surprising a supporter on their 100th birthday.

The Club announced plans to mark the 40th anniversary of the historic Milk Cup triumph, with a special celebration taking place on Tuesday 21 April at the home fixture against Wrexham A.F.C.

In the build up to the celebrations, Oxford United in the Community will be conducting a trophy tour to communities across Oxfordshire, engaging supporters of all ages and giving fans the chance to see and hold the trophy.

To kick things off, we paid a surprise visit to Oxford United supporter, Audrey, on her 100th birthday last week.

Audrey is a long time Oxford United supporter, first attending the games in 1960 as the Club changed from Headington FC. Born in Birmingham but marrying into an Oxford family and moving to the city, she has been watching the side play for 69 years and got her first season ticket in 1978.

Club Ambassador, Peter Rhoades-Brown, was part of the team that won the Milk Cup and joined Audrey with her friends and family to celebrate her milestone achievement.

Alongside the Milk Cup trophy, Audrey was surprised with a personalised Oxford United shirt, signed by all the players, and a special phone call from Club legend Ron Atkinson.
